Bonding and Contouring
If you have chipped, cracked, stained, or misaligned teeth, Dr. Kakos can restore your smile with cosmetic bonding. This simple, conservative treatment will greatly enhance the appearance of your smile. Here's how bonding works.
Dr. Kakos will apply a liquid composite resin to the surface of your tooth. This material is extremely durable, stain resistant, and will be blended to match the color of your tooth enamel. After hardening the resin with a curing light, Dr. Kakos will expertly sculpt the bonded surface so it looks and feels like part of your natural tooth.
Contouring is often performed in conjunction with bonding, though it can be a separate treatment. Also called enamel shaping, contouring involves removing or shaping the tooth enamel. This quick and comfortable treatment can make teeth appear straighter, shapelier, and more symmetrical.
Bonding and contouring can be performed in a single office visit. Call our dental office today for your cosmetic bonding and contouring consultation. Dr. Kakos and our team treat residents of Arlington Heights, Palatine, Schaumburg, Elk Grove Village, Mount Prospect, and beyond.
