Full or partial dentures are replacement teeth on a gum-colored base. Dr. Kakos works with a lab to custom design dentures and partials that look natural and compliment a patient's facial features. Because they are removable, dentures are easy to clean and maintain.
Full dentures replace all of the teeth on an upper or lower arch, whereas partial dentures fit with existing teeth like a puzzle piece. Partial dentures are great for patients who still have some healthy teeth. To secure your partial denture, Dr. Kakos will attach small, inconspicuous clasps to adjacent teeth. For full dentures, adhesives hold the prosthetic in place. If you prefer a more stable solution, we recommend implant-supported dentures. Dr. Kakos will examine your gums and teeth to determine which denture option is right for you.
