To provide the best service at Dr. Kakos’ office we incorporated in oral examinations DIAGNOdent the Laser Cavity Detection System.
We find that DIAGNOdent is a useful adjunct to visual and radiographic examination in detecting dental caries.
Even very small lesions are detected at the earliest stage, enabling us to protect and preserve the tooth substance.
How Does it Work?
The DIAGNOdent Laser Scanner shines a harmless laser beam into the tooth which reflects back. If tooth decay is present even in small amounts, the Diagnodent sensor will alert the doctor.
Early diagnosis of the decay process leads to more conservative treatment. The Air Abrasion System with its promise of conservative preparations with no need for anesthetic seemed perfect for these types of restorations.
